JKPSC KAS (Mains) exams postponed due to road blocks

Jammu and Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission on its official website jkpsc.nic.in has mentioned that the Combined Competitive Examination (KAS Mains) that were supposed to begin tomorrow i.e. February 15, 2018 have now been postponed. The decision was taken keeping in view the road blocks on National Highway. The notice on the official portal mentions that the new dates will be notified separately.
Some candidates had demanded to postpone the JKPSC KAS exams due to harsh weather conditions and road blocks due to snowfall in Kashmir. JKPSC Chairman, Lateef-ul-Zaman Deva said that the commission is going to have a meeting to understand the issue more clearly.“We are looking into the demands of deferment of the exam. We are meeting today to look into the reports of candidates stuck on highways due to recent snowfall,” said Deva.
